V2 Dropper Travel Adjustment Instructions
Things You Will Need
- 6 Travel shim pins (included with dropper)
- Slickoleum (included with dropper)
- Strap wrench (for collar if beyond hand tight)
- Clean cloth or rag
Assembly time, approximately 10 minutes. Difficulty: Easy.
Drop tuning can be done on-bike, almost tool free and without removing the saddle or touching a shock pump. Lowering the post travel also increases bushing overlap and alignment pin length, which is great for heavier riders.

210mm Dropper Post - adjustable down to 190mm
180mm Dropper Post - adjustable down to 160mm
150mm Dropper Post - adjustable down to 130mm
120mm Dropper Post - adjustable down to 100mm
90mm Dropper Post - adjustable down to 70mm
Compatible with OneUp Components Dropper posts only.
STEP 1: COMPRESS DROPPER
Press the remote lever and compress the dropper to roughly mid travel.
STEP 2: MID CAP ASSEMBLY
Unscrew the mid cap assembly (8) by hand or with your strap wrench if necessary. Slide it up towards the seatpost head.
Gently press the remote lever to extend the post & to pop the upper bushing (9) out of the lower post. Then slide this bushing up towards the seatpost head.
STEP 3: INSTALL TRAVEL SHIM PINS
Once the mid cap assembly (8) & upper bushing (9) are out of the way you should have clear access to the three guide pin slots.
For 10mm travel reduction: Install the first three 10mm travel shim pins (18) by sliding 1 pin per slot into the guide slots of the upper tube (7).
For 20mm travel reduction: Once the first three travel shim pins are in place, using your finger, gently push each travel pin down the guide slot until you can fit the next three 10mm travel shim pins.
STEP 4: INSTALL UPPER BUSHING
Once the travel shim pins (18) are in their respective guide slots, push the remote lever and carefully drop the post until the guide slots are out of sight. You can then push the upper bushing back into the lower tube with a layer of fresh grease.
Note: If you're finding your upper bushing (9) is not seating all the way down, you may need to compress your post another 20mm.
STEP 5: TIGHTEN MID CAP ASSEMBLY
Thread mid cap assembly (8) back down onto lower tube (12) by hand. Finish snugging it up with your strap wrench.
STEP 6: FIT CHECK
Adjust your entire post to a comfortable ride/climbing height and pedal around in your riding shoes/kit to make sure it is correct.
Note: Be sure to not to over tighten your seat collar. Max 4Nm.
